Good read, good storyline...found this book on Tell Cotton's FaceBook page, another fine western writer.
I love Duane's books ! His writing is full of love, humor, sadness, and realistic. I get so involved in the stories that I imagine I am there living the story with the other characters. Read his books you won't be sorry you spent the time ! I sure hope this book is the start of a new series and hope Duane continues with the Gideon series as well. Now I have two wonderful men and their families to read about. Thanks Duane, keep up the great work.

Well, I now have to add Duane Boehm to my list of favorite western novelists. After reading Where The Wild Horses Roam I discovered he was one of the rare western writers who actually knew something about horses. But, more importantly, he lets the characters tell the story. His characters are well arched, layered and drive the story...love it. Keep 'em coming, Duane.Ken Farmer - Author of the award-winning Nations series.
Really enjoyed this story! Duane is a great story teller.He puts everything in his stories,good, bad,happy,sad and problems galore.We all have bad things happen to us and we have to survive. Duane can make the survival very interesting! Thanks to Duane Boehm and Amazon.com!
I like a good believable Western. I have now read all five of Duane's westerns and this did not disappoint. I like his characters and story lines. The plots are different and refreshing. One predictable subplot is the romance between main characters and the eventual outcome of their relationship. I look forward to Duane's next book.
This is the story of a wanted man and a widow. If you like Western stories and horses you will like this book. It is a nice story about capturing and breeding wild horses and then breaking and training the offspring to sell to the army. I do wish the author had gone more in depth of the operation of the farm and because of this I gave it a rating of four. If a happy ending is something you look forward to, this book is for you.
Really enjoy all of Duane's books. He makes you feel like you are right there in the story .Thanks for another great read.
