These books are the perfect books for students who are reading about 3rd grade level and up. They are realistic historical non-fiction and high interest. They are all about dogs who are "special". This one is about Sparky who is a fire dog. I like these books because they have information about the type of dog the story is about, so this one has information about dalmatians.The majority of my 4th graders loved these, even the boys!
My daughter LOVES this entire series. Great, fun to read, and they actually learn some history! Thank you to the makers of these books for not putting out more trash for children to read but instead high quality, interesting and fun reading!
The story in this book intertwines with the story in Horse Diaries, titled Cinders. My daughter liked that, she received both books and read them quickly, she's got both series and was waiting for these new books.
Good story. An opportunity to also learn something about these dogs.
